XTREME leather adorns high-tech yacht
In Monaco, where the world’s most prestigious car race takes place every May, the Monaco Yacht Show is held in September. The fact that this year’s luxury yacht show also featured Formula 1 technology was, among other things, due to the Kormaran K7.
Like Formula 1 racing cars, this convertible powerboat has a carbon fiber monocoque. In order to transfer the power of its two engines (up to 300 hp/220 kW) into thrust, the drive and the propeller shaft were modeled on racing sport technology.
It goes without saying that the highest demands on quality were also made with respect to the interior fittings – the design engineers opted for a leather interior by BOXMARK Individual. The dashboard, steering wheel, gear knob and seats are all upholstered with hard-wearing XTREME leather.
